Who we are
ZAVA, inspired by the French words 'Ça va' (meaning 'how are you?') was founded in 2010 and is now one of the leading online doctors in Europe and the UK. We offer a variety of medications, treatments and advice to guide and empower our patients to take charge of their healthcare. In doing so, we have served millions of patients throughout the UK, France, Ireland and Germany. Our teams, led by doctors and pharmacists, are developing and expanding a service that's easy to access, convenient, and always there for you when you need it.
What is it that we do?
In order to understand ZAVA, it helps to know precisely what an online doctor is and how one can benefit you. An online doctor is similar to your regular GP, but you don't have to book or attend an appointment, speak to anyone face-to-face or visit a pharmacy to collect your medication. Instead, our entire service is carried out remotely online.
As our patient, you can request a medication, diagnosis or test kit through a simple online form. Every request is then looked at by one of our GMC-registered doctors who will give you a diagnosis where needed and issue you a prescription. Your medication or test kit is then posted directly to your home. And our service doesn't end there. You can message a doctor at any time if you have any questions, free of charge.

From DrEd to ZAVA
It all began with our first DrEd website in November 2011, which served the UK and Germany by supplying online medication and advice. Shortly afterwards, and following an investment upwards of $1.4 million, we launched in Switzerland and Austria and later in Ireland. In 2016 we established ourselves in France under our new brand name ZAVA. In January 2019, DrEd officially changed its name to ZAVA in Germany and the UK before finally changing its name in Ireland in October 2020.
Now, since launching nearly a decade ago, we've pioneered online healthcare by providing a convenient, intuitive and affordable service. We've so far carried out over 9 million treatments, curated vast resources of expert medical advice and information, and developed digital healthcare solutions that have shaped the very essence of what it is to be an online doctor.

The ZAVA in-house pharmacy team processes each and every treatment and are regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). They operate to the highest of standards to distribute safe, convenient care to patients across the UK and Europe.

Health Bridge Limited is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator of NHS and private medical providers, under registration number 1-201500907. As such, we comply with the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
We follow strict safety standards and are subject to regular checks by the CQC. We work tirelessly to ensure the consistency and quality of our service. When developing this service, we follow the recommendations of NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).
