About Day 2 arrivals testing
How on-arrival Day 2 testing works
If you're fully vaccinated and travelling to Bristol Airport from a country outside the red list, you need to take a Day 2 PCR test within the first 2 days of entering the country. With an on-arrival test, you can complete this before leaving the airport when you arrive in the UK, to get your results quickly and easily.
All you have to do is:
- Order your on-arrival Day 2 test before travelling.
- Make a note of your test booking reference number. You will need to enter this on your passenger locator form when you travel to the UK.
- Take your test kit with you on your journey
- Activate your test straight away when you land at Bristol Airport. You must do this in order to get your results.
- Follow the instructions to complete your test.
- Return your completed test kit to the ZAVA drop off station before leaving the airport.
- We will email you to let you know when your results are in your ZAVA patient account. You should get your results within 18 hours* of your completed test reaching our partner lab.
- If you test negative for COVID-19, you are free to leave quarantine.
If you test positive, you will need to continue your quarantine, according to government guidelines. We will explain what you need to do next.
If you are not recognised as fully vaccinated, and are travelling from any country outside the red list, you need to order a Day 2 and 8 test pack.
*When you will receive your results will depend on when you drop off your test. If you:
- Drop off your completed test by 3pm, you will receive results by 10am the next day
- Drop off your completed test after 3pm, you will receive results by 8pm the next day
We currently provide an 18 hour turnaround from the moment your test results reach our partner laboratory.
Completing your passenger locator form
After ordering your test, we will email you a test booking reference number. You will need this to complete your passenger locator form. This number will always begin with 'ZVAGB'.
Please note, it can take up to 30 minutes to receive the email containing your test booking reference. If you do not receive this within 30 minutes, please contact our Customer Support team.
Always enter your test booking reference where requested, exactly as it is shown in the email, and list 'ZAVA' as your test kit supplier.
