Our methodology

To develop our ranking of the state of contraception around the world, we used a combination of survey data and extensive research

We looked at the below factors for each of the countries we explored:
  • The price of key forms of contraception
  • Governmental views on contraception
  • Accessibility of contraception and breath of choice
  • When contraception became available
